Dead By Sunrise – Out Of Ashes
Dead By Sunrise is Chester Bennington of Linkin Park’s solo project. Being a fan of Linkin Park I felt I had to get this album as I did with Mike Shinoda’s side project: Fort Minor.
Throughout this album there are many parts that sound very much like Linkin Park which really interested me. Some tracks also use instruments used on Linkin Parks most recent studio album: Minutes to Midnight.
For some reason (as with most albums I get) I don’t like all the songs, maybe I just haven’t spent the time getting to know each song yet. As it stands my 2/3 favorites of the album are the 3 last ones. Walking In Circles and In The Darkness both attracted my attention and I was hooked. The final song Morning After is a good song but as of now I’m really borderline if I like it or not…
Inside Of Me, is a track title used by Linkin Park but on this album the track has a more upbeat style despite the sad lyrics. I haven’t really listened to this track, (I’ve just put it on now as I write this) and I can definitely feel that this may be a song I really get into.
I guess I will Just need some time to listen to the album a couple of times to further decide which songs I really like and which aren’t all that good in my opinion. And fan of Linkin Park really should get this album, especialy for the rock element. I think you should also buy a copy of Fort Minor’s Rising Tied if you prefer the rap element of Mike shinoda and Linkin Park.
