The Greats Of Twitter

Hi guys,
I just thought I would post something about Twitter today. Later I plan to write another post based on the Tweet I sent but for now it is about the actual use of Twitter. We all know how useful Twitter can be to reach out to people quickly and get your message across to linking people to something interesting. I just wondered have you ever recieved a message or wanted to recieve a message from a famous person on Twitter.

I’m a great fan of Chamillionaire’s music and I have Tweeted a couple of times to him, imagine how surprised I was to actualy recieve a reply! It made me feel good that someone as well known as him could actualy take some time out of their lives to read AND reply to something I had written. Chamillionaire has been known to interact with fans far more than any other famous musician has. I think this can only improve the greatness in the eyes of any fan.

Fans don’t necissarly need to be following a musician. I’m a great fan of SMP Films. Ever since I first discovered his videos of “The Mean kitty” I have watched every video he’s produced, I’ve stuck with his videos during his down time and even during his wedding! I’ve sent a few Twitter messages to him myself, even using my art skills to draw him a picture of “Sparta: The mean kitty”, but no reply. I recently found a reply from him on another Twitter page. Someone asked him: “Do you ever reply to people”, to which Corey of SMP Films replied: “Only if it’s worth replying too”. This did put me off as I know great people on Twitter don’t always have the time to reply or even read as mentioned before. Last night I replied to one of his Twitter messages about losing a friend he met in a dream saying that even if they are in your dream it still means they are a part of you (I will be looking at this topic next). Imagine my surprise when I came on only 15 minutes ago as I’m writing this to find that he had ReTweeted what I had said. More than a read, more than a reply, a ReTweet means it was better than both.

These are pretty much my only two replies or ReTweets that I’ve had from “The Greats Of Twitter”. I thought I would share my experience to see how others feel about getting these messages who are alot further ahead in life and what it means to you.
